ABOUT THE STERLING SILVER COLLECTION, 24K GOLD VERMEIL AND BLACK RHODIUM

Your jewelry is made of .925 sterling silver and 24K Gold Vermeil and Black Rhodium pieces have a surface treatment.

These surface treatments will fade over time because of contact with clothes, hard surfaces, sweat, perfume, hairspray, air pollution and others.

The Gold plating is 2 layers of 18k and 24k that gradually wear off. Same goes for Black Rhodium. However we take extra-care in the plating process, and our plating last more than average.

PRODUCT CARE

Avoid wearing jewelry in the swimming pool, ocean, sauna/steam room or while bathing or showering.

Chlorine, detergents, oils & perfumes, hairspray and all products containing chemicals eventually can cause tarnishing and damage.

Remove jewelry when doing household tasks.

Avoid impact with hard surfaces as much as possible.

Don’t yank or pull chains and remember to check clasps for firmness every once in a while.

CLEANING – READ CAREFULLY

EVERY TIME YOU WEAR: Gently wipe clean with a soft cloth after each wear to remove make up and oils (from skin).

WHEN NEEDED (recommended no more than once a month):

1-simply line a small bowl with aluminum foil. Fill the bowl with hot water and mix in one tablespoon of bleach-free powdered laundry detergent (not liquid). Put the jewelry in the solution and let it soak for one minute.

Rinse under water and air-dry or gently dry with a soft cloth – This procedure makes use of the chemical process known as ion exchange, which can also be used to clean silverware.

IMPORTANT: avoid extra hot water temperature especially for items with semi-precious stones, as they can micro-fracture inside from sudden change of temperature.

REPAIRS

Treat your jewelry like any other wardrobe item.

Clothes and shoes must be maintained and might need repairs. The same goes for jewelry.
If jewelry breaks we are not able to offer repairs at the moment.

If the break is of your own fault, you should bring it to a local jeweler. Everything can get fixed.

If you have a question about repairs, please let us know at info@victoriadenyjewelry.com
